It has been a busy year in 2023, with Mambourin back to full operations.

When I commenced at Mambourin in September of this year, my first impression was that there is an overwhelming sense of team spirit and happiness. Our Community Hubs and MBS teams are abuzz with excited activity.

We have witnessed a significant increase in bookings for our Flexi Choices and WAM services this year delivering weekend and supported holiday programs for the people we support, still in its infancy, it is clearly providing a service much desired. It demonstrates our community members want to embrace a full quality of life, experiencing all that is on offer regarding travel.

Another program area that has received much interest is the digital and gaming programs, with our younger community members enjoying the digital interaction. Mambourin intends to look at expanding this across Hubs with inter-Hub competitions in 2024.

We had some wonderful moments such as presenting Service Awards to members of the Mambourin Community at our recent AGM – for both the people we support and our staff. Certificates were presented to 56 people, ranging from ten years to 55 years of service. What amazing loyalty.

We hope to have an exciting 2024, with some Hubs due to undertake refurbishments to improve their amenities.

I would like to say a very warm thank you to all our staff, our business partners and community members, for choosing Mambourin, being an important part of our service and contributing to our happy, harmonious culture.
